Different Styles of Borders for Your Bujo
There are many different ways you can make borders in your bullet journal or journal. If you love to draw like I do, you can draw your own. If you are not feeling creative and like something more simple, you can use stickers and washi tape!
Remember, it is your journal! So, you should do whatever brings you JOY!
Washi tape comes in infinite colors and styles. Everyone can find washi tape that fits their style. For example, I love glitter washi tape! I also really enjoy specialty tapes like Disney characters, Star Wars, and even Wizard of Oz!
Here is a great example of how you can use washi tape in your journal.
And here is one more way you can use washi tape to finish the look in your journal. I thought this polka-dot washi tape went perfect with my Minnie Mouse theme! I added a ruffle border to the washi tape with a fine liner pen.
Stencil Borders - Make Your Planning Simple!
Stencils are a great way to create borders in your journal if you like the hand-drawn look but want something more quick and easy.
One of the benefits of stencils is that you can create uniform borders that look practically flawless, and they do not take much time or effort to create. So stencils are great if you are crunched for time and want a quick result.
My favorite stencils for bullet journaling are featured in THIS post! Head over to check them out.
Stamp Borders
Stamps are another time-saving way to make beautiful borders in your journal! You can take any stamp and repeat the stamp over and over in a single row to create a border.
Tip: Try using one stamp in a straight line for a simple border. Or, use two or three small stamps together to make a more intricate border. Stamps can be used to start each day of the week or add flair to the corners of your pages.
Corner borders are illustrations placed in the corners of the page or around frames to give a little detail for a finished look. Corner borders can be hand-drawn however you would like, or you can use stencils, stamps, and stickers.
Seasonal Borders for Your Bullet Journal
It is fun to change your border styles with the seasons! There are endless ideas of what you can do with the seasons to bring a unique touch to your bullet journal any time of the year.
Below are some ideas of what you can do for each season.
Spring- Flowers, umbrellas, pastel washi tape
Summer - sunshine, flip flops, flowers, fruit, bright-colored washi tape
Fall - Leaves, pumpkins, Halloween, warm and cozy toned washi tape
Winter - snowflakes, Christmas, cool-colored washi tape
These are just a few ideas to get your creativity flowing. I hope you will try some of these ideas in your journal!
Extras! Banners, Dividers & Frames for Your Bullet Journal
Sometimes you need something a little extra to complete your spread. So, I have included a few ideas that pair well with bujo borders I think you will want to try!
I love using frames in my bullet journal! You can do a simple box or pull out your creativity and add something pretty or fun to it. Frames are great for keeping text separate, like in a weekly spread, for example.
Frames can be created with a ruler, stencil, stamp, or drawn freehand.
Tip: If you are short on time, draw a quick square, rectangle, or circle and finish it with a sticker on the corner. It is easy, quick, and looks great!!

Bullet Journal Divider Ideas
Sometimes, it is nice to use a simple page divider to break up the text when you are journaling. I also like to use page dividers to separate journal entries and tasks in my bujo planner.
Here are a few ideas for dividers:
You can use a thick straight line or make it thin.
Try incorporating a strand of vines with simple leaves.
Instead of using a line, create a series of dots or squares to separate the page.
There are so many ideas you could use that would look fantastic! I hope you found some fun inspiration while visiting this post. If you are looking for more inspiration to make your journaling easier and more fun, check out the posts below!
